But it seems to be limited to people I don’t otherwise know very well. For example I saw Kevin push you from behind during the 2014 Jeff Gordon incident and from that point on for me Kevin is a spoiled 12 year old and always will be. After reading your blog I realize this is a flaw I have and will try to make progress, but I dought my opinion of Kevin will ever change.

We live in a world filled with greed, envy, pride, entitlement, and judgment. A world in which, somewhere/somehow it became acceptable to rip others down and tear them apart with our judgments, which honestly is our envy When did this become acceptable? When did we become so entitled to the idea that if someone has something we don’t it’s okay to trash them instead of us working harder to achieve what that person has? When did we start getting off on ripping someone to shreds? Maybe that’s always been the world we lived in, but because of the lack of media/technology we just never knew it. So how do we fix it? How do we stop it? Is it really too much to ask people to hold their judgment until they’ve walked a mile in the other persons shoes? Is it really too much to ask people to mind their own business and if they see someone tearing another down to stop them? Bob Marley once said, “Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I’m not perfect and I don’t live to be but before you start pointing fingers…make sure you hands are clean!” I think that the media puts so much of their own opinion into the news they report that before the truth can be heard we’ve already decided how we’re going to feel about those stories and the people in them. I think the media should be held more accountable and to a higher human standard than anyone. Report the facts, the truth, and leave opinions out of it. But none wants to hear that. Truth doesn’t sell. It’s almost impossible to find out the truth because we’d rather hear and believe that someone is a crap person.

However I think it is good for Nascar to have a little controversy, it keeps the sport in the headlines when it needs it the most. We all have our favorite drivers and teams and it is natural not to like the other guy. I am a Eagles fan but hate the Cowboys. I am a Ford fan but hate Chevy & Toyota. The younger generation embraces social media so the more they see the better for the sport.
