As his peers get ready for another exciting All-Star Race weekend at Charlotte, Brad Keselowski will have other things on his mind Friday night.
Brad will be racing No. 2 Draw-Tite Ford F-150 in the Camping World Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The goal for Brad will be to win the race, something he has never done in the Camping World Truck Series.
With a win, BK would not only become the 24th driver to win a race in each of the three major NASCAR series’ he’d also become a member of the first father-son combo ever to win in the CWTS. Brad’s father Bob was one of the original drivers for the series in its inaugural 1995 season and won the Virginia Is For Lovers 200 at Richmond International Raceway in 1997.
“A chance to win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series would be an incredible feat,” Brad said. “It would be great to rewind to the beginning of my career and become the only father-son combination to win in the Truck Series.”
Brad has made 54 Camping World Truck Series starts over his career and has finished as high as second, a feat he has accomplished three times, including last year at Charlotte. He led for 32 laps over the course of the race but Justin Lofton got the win.
BK will be driving a car fielded by Brad Keselowski Racing and Penske Racing Nationwide crew chief Jeremy Bullins will be his crew chief for the race. Fellow Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch will also compete in the race on Friday night, the fifth race this season for the Camping World Truck Series.
Green flag for the Camping World Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 is slated to drop shortly after 8 p.m. EDT and the race can be seen on SPEED.
