“This is the best we ran on a mile-and-a-half in some time, so I’m happy about that. I’m disappointed with the way the race started. It probably cost us 10 or more points, but I’m happy with the rebound. We’ll need to go and have a solid race at Phoenix next week and hope none of the other guys win. It’s doable, but it’s going to be a nail-biter next week for sure.”

+ BRAD STARTED FROM THE 10TH POSITION BUT A LAP ONE INCIDENT WITH KYLE BUSCH LEFT THE 2 WITH A FLAT TIRE, FORCED TO PIT UNDER GREEN AND FALL TO THE BACK, ONE LAP DOWN.
+ BK SPENT THE REST OF THE DAY RACING HIS WAY BACK TO THE FRONT. HE FINISHED STAGE 1 IN 26TH, BUT GOT HIS LAP BACK EARLY IN STAGE 2, FINISHED THAT STAGE IN 14TH AND DROVE THE REST OF THE WAY THROUGH THE FIELD TO SECURE A HARD FOUGHT TOP 5 FINISH.
+ WITH ONE RACE TO GO UNTIL THE MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP, BRAD CURRENTLY HOLDS THE FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP SPOT, 19 POINTS ABOVE 5TH PLACE DENNY HAMLIN. HOWEVER, WITH THE TOP THREE SPOTS CLINCHED, A WIN AT PHOENIX BY HAMLIN, RYAN BLANEY, CHASE ELLIOTT OR JIMMIE JOHNSON WOULD EMLIMINATE THE 2 CREW.
