Growing up in Los Angeles, there are no shortage of professional sports. I’ve always been a big Lakers fan and a Dodgers fan. (Hopefully one day, we’ll get a football team.)
I have never had any interest in NASCAR. That all changed when I went to the Auto Speedway 500 this past weekend.
I managed to catch an interview with Brad Keselowski on TV the week before the race, and he was freakin’ hilarious. One of the downsides of some of the other professional sports is that people who play them are so boring. That wasn’t the feeling I got from Brad. So I started reading more about him on the Internet, and the more I read, the cooler I thought he was. I showed some stuff to some friends of mine, and we were like, let’s go to a NASCAR race!
So we drove out to Fontana and man, it was sick! Brad didn’t have a great race, but the end of the race was EPIC! There was a crash, a fight — and that was all in the last minute of the action. We hung out after the race to check out the cars and trucks leaving. I managed to get a great shot of the No. 2 that you can check out. I’m hooked.
Thanks, Brad, for getting us out there. I’m a fan of the No. 2 now, and of racing, too! Peace.
